Daniel E. Cassidy, MD

Dr. Cassidy is a graduate of the Universita di Bologna in Italy and the Medical College of Pennyslvania. His internship and residency was at the Maine Medical Center in Portland and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr. Cassidy is a member of the Maine Medical Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Gastroenterology Association. He is on the Board of Directors of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation. He has special interests in esophageal disorders and has expertise in esophageal manometry and pH probe testing.

Angel A. Fernandez (Segura), MD

Dr. Fernandez arrived in Bangor in 2004 after finishing his GI Fellowship and internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Fernandez is a native of Venezuela and obtained his medical degree from the Luis Razetti School of Medicine in Caracas. Dr. Fernandez is a member of the American College of Physician and the American Gastroenterology Association.

Mark R. Lena, MD

A graduate of Dartmouth Medical School, Dr. Lena's internship was in internal medicine at Presbyterian/St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver and residency was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He went on to Fellowship at Dartmouth in Hematology/Oncology and in Gastroenterology in Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and Chief of Gastroenterology at Eastern Maine Medical Center. His expertise lies in liver disease, ERCP, and colonoscopy.

John J. McDevitt, 4th, MD

Dr. McDevitt graduated from the Wharton School, Yale University and Temple University School of Medicine. His Internship and GI Fellowship was at EJ Meyer Memorial and Buffalo General Hospitals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American Gastroenterology Association. Dr. McDevitt has been an integral member of the Bangor medical community since 1975.

Sandeep Singh, MD

A native of India Dr. Singh graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi and interned at the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi. He completed his residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Texas, Houston Medical School in Texas. Dr. Singh's interests lie in EUS and ERCP.

Scott B. Stern, DO

Dr. Stern graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency at Botsford General Hospital at Michigan State University and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Stern is a member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and American College of Gastroenterology.
